Hakim Independents Shine at 2022 Optician Awards

The stars of the optical industry were out in force at the 2022 Optician Awards and it was brilliant to see so many Hakim Group representatives among them – flying the flag for high-quality independents thriving in a competitive market.

The Park Lane Hilton rolled out the red carpet as eyecare superstars descended on London for the annual awards ceremony, indulging in some well- deserved glitz and glamour as we gathered to celebrate the sector’s success stories.

Hosted by TV’s Vernon Kay and Chris Bennett, Editor of Optician – the awards gave us all the opportunity to get together once again after a disrupted couple of years.

Hakim Group practices were shortlisted as finalists for nine awards, taking their place among some of optometry’s most respected names.

Huge congratulations to our two winners on the night. Maskell + Josephson were awarded the coveted title of Technology Practice of the Year while Richard Spencer of David Burghardt Vision Care was a deserving winner of the Dispensing Optician of the Year accolade.

The event shone a light on the incredible array of talent we have in our sector and teams from both Hakim HQ and our independent practices, enjoyed a wonderful evening partying with the very best in the business.
